That explains why Ziggy's custom coaches is open 24 hours a day. 'you don't have to worry about finding us during business hours. we have a phone line with a live operator. it's a real personal experience for our customers. if somthing's wrong, we are there for them. if there's a problem, i'll do whatever i have to do, day or night, to get you there.

ziggy knew about coaches from a musician's standpoint. he even knew about them from the driver's seat. he doubled as coe's personal bus driver for millions of miles. but what was missing?

that's when rhonda, ziggy's wife and now Vice President, came into the equation. rhonda spent several years as a country music booking agent, event promoter, fan club representative and publicist. she worked with local bands, clubs and record companies, and dealt hands-on with artists. 'we pooled our resources together and it all worked out really well,' said rhonda. her extensive background and experience offered another link to the ziggy's custom coaches inception in 1991.

They started with two 1970 eagle's in dallas, tx. 'i drove the first few years and tried to run the company from the driver's seat,' ziggy attests. but it was just a few years later that their 'mom and pop' operation had grown into an industry leader. with the high demand for ziggy's service and country music surging, ziggy's custom coaches made the big move to nashville, tn.

By 1994 the company was operating over 30 privately owned coaches in springfield, tn. now ziggy is taking the comapny to antoher level and expanding into a new facility. ziggy says they hope to break ground in the next 60-90 days. currently, ziggy's custom coaches operates a fleet of over 20 top of the line coaches. 'we have all late model coaches with the exception of two 1999 models. we carry all prevost including xl's and xl II's.

2003 was the biggest touring year for ziggy thus far. each year the company continues growing steadily. they have a list of over 500 clients and ziggy's boasts a staff with many years of experience in the entertainment industry as well. additional staff, including jennifer francis, work together to make sure acts walk away feeling comfortable and confident of the product they will get. 'if it's on a bus, it's supposed to work. i sepnd a lot of money on interiors and up-keep so that we have a superior product out there,' says ziggy, 'we customize to the customers needs. right now, for blink 182, we are taking out bunks and putting in two full size refrigerators and plasma tv's."

while many companies are actually run by businessmen trying to make a sale, ziggy knows first hand what makes everything work on a tour. he's had the opportunity to experience it from all sides, and that 'edge' gives ziggy his own style of 'quality control'. 'i understand their needs better. i work one-on-one with acts - music and touring is something you have to live to know. it's not a job, it's a lifestyle.'
